Dr. Denise E. Hall (Psy.D.) CCC RRP  Vocational Consultant & Medical Legal Expert.

My consulting practice focuses on providing medical-legal vocational assessments, promoting physically and psychologically safe workplaces, and helping clients achieve satisfying and successful careers.

For the past 23 years I have worked in the vocational rehabilitation field including 14 years operating a private psychotherapy and consulting practice focusing on occupational health for both WorkSafe BC and ICBC clients. My clients have included those with chronic pain, myofascial injuries, posttraumatic and sensitive claim conditions including assault, bullying, sexual harassment and sexual assault. In addition, I provide medical legal vocational assessments for legal firms and insurance companies.

I have assessed individuals with orthopaedic injuries and permanent disabilities including traumatic brain-injured clients, and those with chronic pain and psychological conditions. I have also prepared vocational rehabilitation plans and employability assessments. In addition, I provided case consultation for nine years (1999 to 2008) with WorkSafe BC and three years with private insurers and medical-legal files.

My credentials include a Doctor of Clinical Psychology degree (Psy.D.) from California Southern University, a MA degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology as well as a BA degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University. I hold the designation of Registered  Vocational Rehabilitation Professional from the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada, and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #9911) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

In addition, my background includes 30+ years in the counselling and social services fields including six years as a Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in an addictions treatment facility for youth and their families. I coordinated family life education programs and am a presenter and instructor in the social services field for over 25 years regionally, nationally and internationally.
